FAQ
Common questions
Do you work with single-family homes?
No. We focus on condominium buildings, their mechanical systems and commercial properties. Individual condo owners can book a service or a repair for the fan coil or heat pump in their suite.
How is a building maintenance contract priced?
Per suite, after a free walk-through of the building. The agreement lists the work done in every suite, the number of visits per year and the term. Repairs are quoted separately.
Do you service both in-suite and common area systems?
Yes. We look after in-suite fan coils and heat pumps as well as boilers, pumps, make-up air units and exhaust fans in common areas.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Shax HVAC is a TSSA registered contractor and carries $5 million in liability insurance.
Do you charge extra for emergency calls?
No. Our rate is the same at night, on weekends and on holidays.
